Varifocal Lenses

Through varifocal lenses, you have more freedom. Varifocal security cameras have two main options. One will increase the image, while the other will focus on. Focal length and focus is done by hand, using two screws on the camera itself. If you purchase a camera with varifocal lens 2.8 to 12 mm, it means that you can set it to any number from 2.8 to 12 mm. This means that if you need 8 cameras, say, a 10mm one 7 mm, a 3 mm etc, simply purchase 8 varifocal CCTV cameras and set them to the desired focal length during installation.

Infrared Light Source

Contrary to thermal cameras, IR security cameras do not perceive the objects emitted infrared light as heat, but register the objects reflected infrared light with a wavelength of approximately 850 nm.
